A little Background on Cabco
Cabco is a trusted local taxi service in Newbury, renowned for its reliability and excellent customer service. Despite this strong reputation, Cabco faced challenges in maximising its online presence, particularly in local search results. With increasing competition and the growing importance of digital visibility, Cabco needed a robust SEO strategy to maintain its market leadership and drive business growth.
Before our project, Cabco’s local SEO metrics were not as strong as they could be, with a Share of Local Voice (SoLV) score of just 8.64.
What Is SoLV in Local SEO?
In the world of local SEO, SoLV stands for Share of Local Voice. In a nutshell, the SoLV score tells you how many times a business listing appears in the local map pack. More specifically, SoLV measures how often the listing appears in the top three Google Business Profile results (known as the Google 3-Pack) when you search for a certain term on Google within a specific geographic area. The higher a business’s SoLV score, the more local visibility it has for a given keyword within a given search radius. By analysing SoLV scores for different keywords and radiuses, businesses can identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement in local search rankings.

How did we do this?
Conduct an SEO Audit

Building consistent and accurate local citations is essential for improving local search rankings. We listed Cabco in relevant online directories and ensured all information was consistent across these platforms. This not only improved visibility but also built trust with search engines.
Create Local Content
We developed a content strategy focused on local topics and events relevant to Newbury. This included blog posts, local guides, and news updates, all optimised for local keywords. This content not only attracted local traffic but also established Cabco as an authority in the community.
